Community Action Network’s (CAN’s) Beanstalk programme provides advice and support to established and successful enterprises on growth using franchising and other forms of replication.
CAN’s aim is to help enterprises to grow, diversify and become more profitable, without requiring them to find the investment needed to employ new staff, find bigger premises and expand the management team.
Beanstalk growth seminars enable enterprises to learn from real experience and Qi3 will be participating in the seminar which is taking place in Sheffield on the 12th of October 2005.
David Jenkins of Qi3 has been working with TACT UK (www.tactltd.org) over the last 6 months to enable it to develop a business model that can be readily replicated as it expands to cover more of the UK. He has been working closely with Colin Campbell, Development Director of TACT UK and they will be sharing their experience of this exercise.
Beanstalk Growth Seminars include:
• Powerful presentations from “social franchise” businesses
• Insights from top quality social business consultants
• Opportunities to get involved in the Beanstalk programme
• A chance to discuss your issues with CAN’s Beanstalk team members
Each enterprise on the Beanstalk Programme has developed a strategy, business and support package for growth. “Franchise like” pilots are being launched and tested this year by third parties with a view to full-scale roll-out programmes expected from mid 2006.
