Qi3 plugs the technology marketing gap and moves to St John’s

Recent surveys of businesses around Cambridge have a common theme: strong technology and weak commercial exploitation. With its strength in sales and marketing for technology businesses Qi3 is actively working to plug this gap.

Qi3 is pleased to announce the addition of two new senior technology sales and marketing specialists. Robin Higgons and Gordon Lovis bring with them over 40 years of experience to increase and strengthen Qi3’s skills and knowledge base.

Robin has considerable general management, marketing director, product marketing and sales experience in large technology companies involved in the instrumentation industries. He joins Qi3 from his work as Managing Director of Omnifit, a supplier of high performance fluidic solutions and components to worldwide instrumentation industries; and was the Director and General Manager of Oxford Instruments’ Obstetrics and Cardiology businesses.

Gordon is a licensing and technology strategy expert. He brings with him an intimate knowledge of the strategic management of, and value creation from, Intellectual Property, technology transfer, and product development. He joins Qi3 from his work as Associate Director of Licensing at QED Intellectual Property, Senior Licensing Executive at BTG, and Product Development Manager at Vacuum Generators.

The introduction of Robin and Gordon, along with John Attard and Howard Biddle in August 2002, reflects the substantial growth Qi3 has experienced over the past year. Turnover grew by over 100% in 2000 and 2001 and even by a further 51% in 2002 despite the adverse market for technology businesses.
