Qi3 has been contracted by the Electronics, Sensors, Photonics KTN (ESP KTN) to manage and deliver its Advanced Instrumentation group and related subgroups.
Qi3 has been leading the Advanced Instrumentation activities since they were incorporated into the Sensors & Instrumentation KTN (SIKTN) in April 2006. (The SIKTN has now merged with the Photonics & Plastics Electronics and the Electronics KTN to create the new ESP KTN as a single cohesive entity).
Our team of instrumentation professionals has expertise in a wide range of markets, including security, space, life sciences, environmental monitoring, scientific research and oil & gas. By working as part of the wider ESP KTN we help bring companies up to speed on advances across a wide range of component and instrument technologies. Over the past four years, Qi3 has organised over 50 workshops, supported hundreds of companies, and helped to generate over £40m of new innovation finance in Advanced Instrumentation projects.
The ESP KTN supports its members by providing a single point of contact for industry, academia and entrepreneurs. It provides a way for them to network and interact with other members of the community, facilitating knowledge exchange and helping people and companies to start or revive innovation programmes. It also helps businesses to access funding and for help preparing for growth as well as using its contacts to help link up with government funding and academia for fast tracking R&D projects.
The Advanced Instrumentation Group helps companies to accelerate their innovation through access to expertise, novel research, and supply chain partners. This is achieved through membership of the _Connect web platform, support from theme coordinators and networking workshops.
