Where we can add value
Traditionally, environmental markets have been conservative, driven primarily by regulation and slow to change. However, with increasing political awareness, a rapid increase in regulatory requirements and growing economic impact of environmental issues, the sector is set for significant change. This will create new opportunities for sales / profit growth and Qi3 has a unique combination of market knowledge, regulatory monitoring and technology foresight to help organisations exploit these opportunities.
Our work with a range of organisations enables us to monitor the legislative and regulatory developments that are the bedrock of the sector. We are closely involved with a number of knowledge transfer and exchange programmes giving us wide exposure to the new technologies and scientific discoveries in the field. Our broad ranging commercial experience in the environment, instrumentation, biotechnology, and associated sectors enables us to rapidly evaluate new market requirements and changing market conditions to identify sales and profit opportunities.
Qi3 has a team of experts in environmental science, market research, product marketing, marketing communications and commercialisation who understand the market drivers and barriers to success in this sector. They have undertaken a range of projects from microbial degradation of hazardous organic liquid wastes, through market developments in environmental monitoring to new instrumentation technologies (from Earth Observation to in-situ sensors).
Funding and Grants
Qi3 is able to offer its services with expert staff registered on the Manufacturing Advisor Service (MAS) Directory. This enables companies to receive support from Qi3 staff together with enabling grants of up to £3000. The Qi3 team facilitates access the funds through all appropriate methods, including sales, collaborative, R&D, grants and equity finance. Qi3 has an excellent track record of enabling companies of all sizes to access funds for technology development.
“Beyond its marketing expertise, an extremely valuable benefit that Qi3 was able to bring to Phase Focus was its extensive knowledge of the instrumentation and sensors community. A large network of key contacts was therefore quickly established, which helped to provide early feedback on Phase Focus’s technology and product development plans. The result of this work is that Phase Focus has now developed to the point that it is able to sustain an internal marketing and sales resource. However, the Phase Focus Virtual Lens® is a platform technology with many potential applications still to be explored. With that in mind, the company anticipates calling upon Qi3 in the future as the need arises.” Ian Pykett, CEO, Phase Focus
“Qi3 have stimulated us to think about our markets differently, and provided us with a pool of expertise and resource to implement new approaches. Their strategic thinking and hands-on support have been critical to developing and implementing the new strategies that are transforming 3DX-Ray’s market position. Qi3’s efforts have put us on track to achieve our target of sales growth this year.” Nick Fox, CEO of Image Scan Holdings and 3DX-Ray
