Market Researcher with Physics or Engineering Background (£25 – £30k)

The Company

The Job

You will work as part of a number of project teams to identify and exploit commercial opportunities for our clients. In the commercial sector, you will help to summarise our clients’ technologies, identify potential markets and characterise key drivers for adoption. For the public sector you will work as part of the Knowledge Transfer Team on programmes to improve and speed up the process of knowledge exchange between businesses, and between businesses and academic institutions. While you will focus on the technology aspects of these projects, working alongside the commercial market researchers, a clear business focus will be essential throughout all the work.

The Person

You will have graduated in a physics or engineering discipline with 2 years of experience in the market. Sales experience is essential, either gained in a business to business marketing environment, or customer-facing product/application development with a technology company. We will give preference to candidates with a strong background in one or more of our key sectors, particularly engineering, instrumentation, IT, software, environmental monitoring, clean technology, sustainability, space or defence.
