Qi3 has undertaken a wide range of projects for the European Space Agency since 2006. Currently, Qi3 is actively involved with ESA under its ‘Integrated Application Promotion’ programme, an activity to promote the development of integrated applications using space assets, as part of an overall system to benefit European society.

Having completed several prepatory stages in the programme, Qi3 is now helping ESA find new applications and project partners for the programme.

To kick off the programme Qi3 was asked to provide in-depth stakeholder analysis, reviewing existing studies to explore the potential capability to leverage the IAP programme. The project aim was to identify UK competences that fit IAP strategy and programmatic frameworks and find a way to promote those competencies and create dialogue between possible interested parties.

The analysis and report that formed the basis of this work were used by ESA to support and develop future IAP strategies in the UK.  In this case providing input to the work of the Space IGT (now Space Innovation Growth Strategy) – a twenty year vision for space sponsored by Government, Industry and Academia.
