When we started Qi3, our primary intention was to give support for small to medium-sized high-tech companies that really needed the wide spectrum of sales and marketing skills we have developed. We soon found that various government agencies needed similar support, oriented towards "technology translation" - making technologies developed in the public sector available to businesses. This complements our work for New Technology Enterprises and Technology Corporations, as it keeps us fully engaged with the cutting edge of engineering and physical sciences research and public sector support for business partnerships and spinout companies.

Nowadays, about a third of our work is for the public sector, whilst we see ourselves strongly rooted in the development and growth of private sector technology enterprises.
