The biotechnology and medical devices sectors are complex and rapidly changing. Medical devices in particular feature regularly in public sector funding calls. Recently, the Medical Research Council and the Department of Health have combined their efforts to encourage greater activity in generating new healthcare devices and medicines, and to bring them to commercial fruition.
