Overall responsibility the for order intake process, business capture, management of proposals and tender responses. Specific responsibility for pursuing the application of a wide range of technologies within Lockheed Martin to projects, opportunities and partners in the UK and Europe.

Overall management of ‘self contained’ business unit primarily focussed on the capture and execution of bespoke training systems projects for military customers worldwide. Maintained ongoing development of high precision electro-optic based and computer graphic technologies. Succeeded in winning a major long-term partnering and technology transfer project in India.

Overall responsibility for order intake process and specifically management of proposals and tender responses. Undertook in-depth strategic review of market, competition and technology trends concluding in the preparation of a business plan to diversify into an emerging technology, namely computer graphic imagery, for use in military training systems.

Overall management of a multi-$M project for the US DOD for the development, qualification, supply and support of an electro-optic based, high accuracy training systems for manually guided medium/long range guided weapons.

Responsible for all marketing material, presentations and support to global sales team in relation to wide range of electro-optic based military training systems. Management of proposals.

Led team to specify, develop, qualify and take into production a rugged electro-optic based military training system for use in demanding field conditions.
1980-1982 Research Officer,
GEC-Marconi Research Laboratories
Undertook various investigations relating to the application of emerging electro-optical technologies to sensing/measurement roles in industrial applications. Led project team to specify and develop a laser-based navigational sub-system for a robotic transporter.
